2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Provide the Service, including storing and displaying tooth event records, contribution tracking, and financial literacy content.
• Send transactional email notifications, such as event invitations, contribution confirmations, and account alerts, via our email provider SendGrid.
• Respond to your support requests and communications.
• Improve the Platform through aggregated, de-identified usage analytics.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the security and integrity of the Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information or your children's information for advertising, profiling, or behavioral targeting.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We take the privacy of children under 13 seriously and design our Platform to comply with the spirit and requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• Children do not have accounts. Only adults (parents, guardians, and Gifters who are 18 or older) may create accounts on FairyMarketValue.com. Children do not register, log in, or directly interact with the Platform.
• Children do not provide information to us directly. All information about a child — including their first name and birthdate — is entered by the parent or guardian who holds the Parent Family Account. We do not collect personal information from children directly.
• Limited child data. We store only a child's first name, birthdate, selected avatar, and tooth event data. This information is necessary to provide the Service and is never used for advertising or shared beyond what is described in this Policy.
• Gifter access is limited. When a parent invites a Gifter, that Gifter can see the child's first name, avatar, and tooth event details. Gifters cannot see the child's birthdate or other identifying information.
• Parental control. Parents can request complete deletion of all data associated with their account, including all child profile data, by contacting us at hello@fairymarketvalue.com.

If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child under 13 through a channel not described in this Policy, please contact us immediately at hello@fairymarketvalue.com so we can delete it.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your children's data to any third party, ever.

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Between account holders you authorize: When a Parent invites a Gifter, limited child data (first name, avatar, tooth event details) is shared with that Gifter as part of the Service.
• Service providers: We use the following third-party service providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality and data processing agreements:
  • SendGrid — email delivery service for transactional notifications.
  • VPS hosting provider — our server infrastructure provider for hosting the Platform.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
• Business transfers: If FairyMarketValue.com or ChachKey.com is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance via email or a prominent notice on the Platform.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect it:

• Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes and are never stored in plain text.
• All data transmission between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• Our VPS hosting environment uses access controls and monitoring to detect and respond to unauthorized access attempts.
• We do not store payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or any financial credentials — because we never collect them.

No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and your children.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data, including child profile data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format where technically feasible.
• Objection: Object to certain processing of your information.

7. Cookies

FairyMarketValue.com uses a minimal set of cookies:

• Session cookies: Required for authentication and to maintain your logged-in state. These are deleted when you close your browser or log out.
• Preference cookies: Used to remember your display preferences, such as dark mode settings. These persist across sessions in your browser's local storage.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or any cookies that build behavioral profiles. We do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics services that track users across websites.

We retain your account data and associated records for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and your children's data from our active systems within 30 days. Certain data may be retained in secure backups for a limited period before being permanently deleted, and we may retain de-identified or aggregated data derived from your account indefinitely.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending an email to your registered address. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
